Bygstad and Sande
Zone 1: Bygstad
Some 30 lakes in a beautiful and changing recreation area. Lake Selsvatnet situated northwest of the Kvamshesten is considered to be unstock. Some lakes provide easy access as they are close to the E39. The river Gaula has a stock of salmon and your fishing licence is not valid here (hatched on the map).

Zone 2: Sande
Includes the Gaula rivercourses from teh outlet
of the Hestad fjord (in zone 3) to the border of Bygstad (zone 1), moreover the rivercourses towards the border of Høyanger,
as along the E39 towards Vadheim. Lots of fine runs and deep pools extremely suitable for angling. The licence is not valid for the use of otter in the zone.

Below the Fossfossen waterfall the river Gaula has a stock of salmon and the licence is not valid for this area after July 1, (hatched on the map).

Viksdalsvatnet lake
Zone 3. Hestadgrend
Good fishing oppurtunities with easy access from the road all along the Hestad fjord. The licence is valid for otter all over the zone.

Zone 4. Viksdalen
The zone includes a large area of changing country and scattered sttlemants in two great valleys. We offer yuo good lakes and rivercourses, most of them easily accessable from the main road, along lake Viksdalsvatnet and lake Lauvavatnet towards Haukedalen as well as towards the mountains of Gaularfjellet.

Haukedalsvatnet
Zone 5. Haukedalsvatnet
The lake is known as one of the best in Norway as to troutfishing. The trout is of a very good quality. Those who sell fishing licences in Haukedalen can give you information about boat rentels.

Holsavatnet
Holsavatnet is situated along road 13. There are roads almost surrounding the lake, and it is easy accessible. If you have to walk over farmland to access the lake, please contact the land owner for permission.

Between Stakaldefossen – Brulandsfossen (waterfalls)
The zone includes Jølstra from the Stakaldefossen waterfall down to Huldefossen waterfall (90 m. tall), further through Movatnet and Bergevatnet (lakes) and down to Brulandsfossen waterfall. The area where the Huldefossen waterfall connects with Jølstra river belong to a local land owner organisation with that provides fishing licenses for this area. The whole distance is a streamy but calm part of Jølstra with partly easy access to the shore, and good fishing conditions in chutes and deep ponds. Parking at Moskog Kiosk, Mo & Jølster Agricultural School and Sunnfjord Museum. For fishing in the Movatnet lake, boats can be rented at the museum.

Jølstra
Zone 1
Includes the river Jølstra
 between Vassenden and 
the municipal border with Førde. The following baits are allowed: worm, lure, fly. 

Please note: The implement known nationally as an "oter" (with multiple baits) is not allowed.

Jølstravatnet
Zone 2
Southern shore of the Jølstravatnet lake,
including mountain lakes between Vassenden
and Sægrov. Baits and equipment: as zone 1. "Oter" is generally allowed 10 June - 10 August.

Zone 3
Northern shore of Jølstravatnet lake, also including the entire Kjøsnesfjord section, as well as the lakes in Årdalsdalen.

Stardalen
Zone 4
Stardalselva river to Gloppen municipal border, and some other rivers and lakes in the zone. Baits and equipment : worm, lure and fly. "Oter" is not allowed.

Season: Stardalselva 21 May - 15 September. Tributaries and lakes: all year.
