Rivers, streams, pools, tarns and inland lakes – gushing and streaming water of all sorts! The three municipalities of Førde, Gaular and Jølster in Sunnfjord are a paradise for anglers and fishermen all year round.

Flyfishing Championships have been gathered here since 1998. Informal competitions between Norway, England and Scotland has been held severak years. And even a Norwegian Championship in fly-fishing has been held here.

The annual "Wild Brown Trout Festival" or in norwegian: "Aurefiskefest i Sunnfjord" will be held for the 5th time from the 4th - 7th of august this year.
